The Rough Rider is one of Newcastle Hats’ most popular products. It combines the distinctive traditional western style with the modern mesh crown. It is very popular with farmers, as workwear, or as a casual and versatile hat.
It is made from synthetic felt, which is durable, breathable, lightweight and washable. The crown is made from polyester mesh and provides excellent airflow to the head; however sun protection is reduced and they are not UPF50+ rated. This combination makes these hats cool comfortable and reasonably hardwearing hat and far superior to traditional fabrics such as fur felt, leather or canvas.
